I was in Montreal earlier this week for a job interview. My first time in Canada. I really liked it but didn’t have a lot of free time to go out and see too many things.
One cool thing about Montreal is that the majority of people who live there speak French. I think I read in my little airport tourist brochure (haha) that 56% of people speak both French and English fluently. And it shows in the culture and the way people greeted me. Also, the architecture is very in touch with a lot of classical themes. A nice change up from LA and SF, where everything is so modern. All of these factors gave an elegance to the city.
