The toughest part about a good deed is not the act of doing it.
The most difficult part is for us to not wear it on our sleeve. To not flaunt it. To not seek any recognition for it. To not expect thankfulness. To not treat it as currency. To not dangle it over people’s heads. To swallow that pride.
That’s where the real challenge comes into play. Being subtle with it and enjoying the moment when it unfolds. As a spectator, not a commentator.
